| 1 | pound | beef, round steak | |
| 2 | each | green bell pepper | sliced |
| 2 | each | tomatoes | quartered |
| 4 | each | onions | chopped |
| 4 | tablespoons | soy sauce | |
| 1 | cup | bean sprouts | |
| 1/4 | cup | butter | |
| 1/2 | teaspoon | sugar | |
| 1/2 | teaspoon | cornstarch | |
| 1 | each | garlic clove | minced |
| 1/4 | teaspoon | black pepper | |
| 1/2 | teaspoon | salt | |
| 2 | tablespoons | water |
Slice steak thinly in short cross- wise pieces.
Heat butter in skillet and add garlic, salt and pepper.
Add beef and brown on both sides.
Add soy sauce and sugar; cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
Add rinsed sprouts, tomatoes and green peppers; cover and simmer 5 minutes.
Dissolve corn starch in water and stir in.
Stir until sauce thickens.
Sprinkle with onions and serve on rice.
