Boneless chicken breasts get bathed in a sweet-tart glaze made from lemonade concentrate, honey, fresh lemon juice, and a trio of earthy herbs: crushed sage, thyme, and dry mustard.
Half the sauce goes on before baking, and the chicken soaks up all that citrus-honey goodness as it cooks.
The result is juicy, golden chicken with a sticky, fragrant glaze that tastes way more complex than the ingredient list suggests.
Kitchen Tips
- Reserve half the sauce to spoon over the chicken partway through baking for a second layer of flavor
- Crush the dried sage and thyme between your fingers before adding. It wakes up their essential oils.
- Don’t skip the dry mustard. It adds a subtle warmth that balances the sweetness of the honey and lemonade.
