Ingredients

21 ounces cherry pie filling
16 ounces cranberry sauce
1/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons tapioca, quick-cooking
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon ground
1 x pie shell (9 inch)
2 tablespoons butter

Directions

Combine pie filling, cranberry sauce, sugar, tapioca, lemon juice and cinnamon.

Let stand for 15 minutes.

Fill pastry-lined 9 inch pie plate with fruit mixture.

Dot with butter or margarine.

Adjust top crust.

Seal and flute edges.

Cut slits in top crust.

Bake in 400 F oven for 35-40 minutes.

Cover edges of crust with foil if edges brown too rapidly.

Barbara Bush's Chocolate Chip Cookies

They are nice cookies, but I think two points have to be made. Firstly, the recipe as posted forgets to tell you when to add chocolate chips! I added them after mixing the dough and it turned out ok. Also, I only got 7 Cookies out of it. Mine were large, so you could probably get 10, but you should double or triple this recipe to get a large batch of cookies.
