Sharp cheddar spread and Bisquick get mixed into a simple dough, rolled into a log, and coated in toasted sesame seeds. Chill it, slice it thin, and bake until golden.
These little rounds come out crispy, buttery, and packed with sharp cheddar flavor. The sesame seeds add a nutty crunch on the outside that makes them impossible to stop eating.
Keep a roll of dough in the fridge and you’re always 15 minutes away from fresh, warm cheese crackers.
Kitchen Tips
- Chill the dough for at least 2 hours so it slices cleanly without squishing
- Cut the slices thin, about ¼ inch, for the crispiest results
- Press the sesame seeds gently into the log so they stick during slicing
Variations
- Roll the log in everything bagel seasoning instead of sesame seeds
- Add a pinch of cayenne to the dough for spicy cheese rounds
- Use sharp cheddar cheese spread with jalapeño for a Southwestern twist
