Ingredients

3/4 pound ground turkey raw
1 each onion chopped
2 cups red kidney beans, canned can, undrained
6 ounces tomato paste
1/4 cup water
2 teaspoons chili powder
1 each garlic clove minced, optional
1 each oregano optional
1 x salt and black pepper to taste
1 x cumin seeds to taste, optional
1 each green bell pepper chopped

Directions

Defrost ground turkey, if frozen.

Spray a large non-stick skillet with cooking spray for no-fat frying.

Spread the turkey meat in a shallow layer.

Brown the meat over moderate heat; break into chunks and turn to brown evenly.

Stir in remaining ingredients. Cover and simmer 45 minutes.

Uncover and continue to simmer until thick.
