| 4 | Scoops | vanilla ice cream | |
| 8 | each | cling peach halves | |
| 1 | x | candied ginger | optional |
| Gingerwalnut sauce | |||
| 1 | cup | corn syrup, light | |
| 1/4 | cup | brown sugar | packed |
| 3 | tablespoons | butter | or margarine |
| 1 | cup | walnuts | coarsely chopped |
| 1/4 | cup | candied ginger | chopped |
| 4 | tablespoons | liqueur | southern comfort |
Place the ice cream in 4 sundae dishes and place in the freezer.
Combine all the sauce ingredients (except the peach liqueur) in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
Cook rapidly for about 3 minutes. Top ice cream with 2 peach halves and spoon Ginger-Walnut Sauce over each sundae.
Spoon on 1 tablespoon of Southern Comfort over peach halves and sprinkle with a little chopped candied ginger, if desired.
