| 3 | cups | potatoes | mashed |
| 3 | pounds | pork | ground |
| 1 | cup | water | |
| 1/4 | teaspoon | nutmeg | |
| 1/4 | teaspoon | allspice | |
| 1 | tablespoon | salt | |
| 1/4 | teaspoon | black pepper | |
| 1/2 | cup | onion | chopped |
| 2 | each | pie shell (9 inch) |
In a saucepan, combine the ground pork, water, nutmeg, allspice, salt, pepper and onion.
Cook over moderate heat for 30 minutes, stirring often to prevent sticking.
Remove from heat; add the mashed potatoes; and mix well.
Cool.
Fill two pastry-lined plates; adjust top crusts, slashing pastry to allow for the steam to escape as the pies bake.
Bake in a hot oven, 425 degrees F for 40 minutes.
Serve hot or cold.

Great taste and easy. The kids loved them. I didn't have any cream of tartar but they were still great.
