Ingredients

1 tablespoon sugar granulated
4 tablespoons sugar substitute
1/3 cup buttermilk
1 each egg well beaten
1 cup flour, all-purpose
1/8 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 x nutmeg
1 x cinnamon
1 x vanilla extract
1 x salt
1 x vegetable oil for deep fat frying

Directions

Combine sugars, buttermilk, and egg; beat well.

Add remaining ingredients, except oil. Beat just until blended.

Heat oil to 375 degrees F. Drop dough from doughnut dropper into hot fat.

Fry until golden brown, turning often. Drain.
