| 1 | cup | onion | finely chopped |
| 4 | cloves | garlic | finely chopped |
| 4 | x | bay leaves | |
| 1 | pound | ground beef, lean | |
| 1 | cup | carrots | chopped |
| 1 | x | jalapeno pepper | sliced with seeds if you wanted spicy |
| 2 | x | beef bouillon cube | |
| 5 | cups | green cabbage | Finely chopped |
| 1 | cup | water | |
| 1 | teaspoon | salt | |
| 1/2 | teaspoon | black pepper | |
| 2 | tablespoon | italian seasoning | |
| 1 | tablespoon | paprika | |
| 1/4 | teaspoon | cumin |
In a large skillet, heat oil and sautee onion, garlic and bay leaves. Brown beef well. Add the rest of the ingredients in the listed order. Bring to boil and turn down to low. Press cabbage down once it starts to wilt. Stir after 15 minutes. Cook for 30 minutes, total. Good luck!!
