Ingredients

2 medium tomatoes quartered
1/4 small green cabbage coarsely chopped
1 large onion coarsely chopped
1 cup red wine vinegar
1/2 cup sugar plus 2 tablespoons
1 teaspoon dijon mustard
3/4 teaspoon turmeric
1/4 teaspoon celery seeds
1/4 teaspoon cloves ground
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon ground

Directions

Makes about 4 cups Finely chop first 3 ingredients in processor.

Bring all remaining ingredients to boil in heavy medium saucepan.

Add chopped vegetables.

Reduce heat and simmer until vegetables are tender, about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally (mixture will be thin).

Cool, cover and refrigerate until well chilled.

(Can be prepared 5 days ahead.)

Drain before serving.
