| 1 | pound | pineapple, canned | unsweetened |
| 2 | tablespoons | sugar substitute | |
| 1 | dash | salt | |
| 1/2 | cup | whipped topping, prepared | low-calorie |
Combine cabbage and pineapple with juice, sugar replacement and salt.
Stir to dissvole sugar replacement.
Allow to rest at room temperature for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
Drain thoroughly. Fold topping into cabbage mixture.

History - Basil is a member of the mint family, and was known as the herb of kings in ancient times. In fact, its name may have been derived from the Greek word basileus, meaning "king"....
I have been looking for this recipe for many years. It first appeared in "BON APPETIT" magazine about 25 years ago. It is delicious. I am so glad the Gores found it in the same magazine and shared it with everyone.
