1 hrsThree ingredients. No oven. Five minutes of actual work. These are the kind of treats you throw together when company’s coming and you forgot about dessert.
Melted butterscotch chips get stirred together with a full pound of salted peanuts and crispy chow mein noodles, then dropped by the spoonful onto wax paper to set.
Every bite is a sticky-sweet, salty, crunchy little cluster that disappears from the plate faster than you can make them.
Kids go absolutely wild for these, and they’re old enough to help make them too.
Pro Tips
- Melt the butterscotch chips low and slow, stirring constantly, or they’ll seize up and get clumpy
- Work quickly once everything is mixed because the butterscotch sets fast as it cools
- Use a cookie scoop for uniform drops that look like you actually tried
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature; the fridge makes the noodles go soggy
Ingredients
Directions
Melt butterscotch morsels and stir until smooth.
Mix other ingredients into the melted morsels; drop on waxed paper by tablespoonsful.
