If a milkshake and an after-dinner drink had a love child, this would be it.

Two scoops of vanilla ice cream get blended with Kahlua (or your favorite coffee liqueur) and creme de cacao until thick and creamy.

The coffee liqueur brings a roasty bitterness, the creme de cacao adds a smooth chocolate sweetness, and the ice cream ties it all together into something dangerously drinkable.

Three ingredients. No shaker required. Just a blender and a couple of glasses.

Pro Tips

  • Soften the ice cream for a few minutes before blending. Rock-hard ice cream will leave chunks and burn out your blender motor.
  • Use a high-quality vanilla ice cream here. With only three ingredients, every one of them matters.
  • Serve immediately. This melts fast and loses its thick, frosty texture if it sits around.
