| 12 | medium | brussel sprouts | fresh |
| 1 | tablespoon | margarine | |
| 1/8 | teaspoon | white pepper |
Wash brussel sprouts and discard discolored leaves.
Cut off stem ends and slash bottom of each sprout with a shallow X.
Place sprouts in a small amount of boiling water; cover, reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes OR until tender.
Drain and cool slightly. Slice in half vertically.
Melt margarine in a small saucepan.
Cook over medium heat until browned.
Pour over brussel sprouts; toss gently to coat.
Sprinkle with pepper.

This recipe is fantastic for something different to do with pork chops. We have been making a slight variation of this recipe for years. It's great to see this online! Best when served over white rice and w/french style cut string beans.
