| 3/4 | cup | water | |
| 1/3 | cup | rice, brown | |
| 2 | each | figs | chopped |
| 1/4 | teaspoon | nutmeg | |
| 1/4 | cup | milk | or yogurt (low-fat) |
Bring to boil in a small saucepan the water and brown rice.
Simmer covered for 30 minutes.
Remove from heat.
Add figs and nutmeg.
Serve in a small bowl with milk or yogurt.
