| 1 | large | broccoli florets | head washed and drained, trimmed, use florets only no stems |
| 1 | cup | red onion | chopped |
| 1/2 | cup | golden raisins | |
| 1/2 | cup | pecans | chopped |
| 1/2 | pound | bacon | fried crisp and crumbled |
| 2 | tablespoons | red wine vinegar | |
| 3/4 | cups | mayonnaise | or 1/2 light mayo 1/2 light sour cream |
| 1/2 | cup | sugar |
2 tb Red wine vinegar 3/4 c Mayonnaise 1/2 c Sugar In a large bowl, combine the broccoli florets, onions, raisins, pecans and bacon. In a small bowl, combine the dressing ingredients, the vinegar, mayonnaise and sugar. Mix well and pour over broccoli mixture. Toss gently, refrigerate, covered, overnight and toss gently the next day when ready to serve.
Delicious! Took this to a potluck & everyone loved it!

Around the holiday seasons, you always see commercials that revolve around family dinners....
Great way to serve brocolli. I add a bit of lemon juice, smidge of seasame oil (tastes more like Asian brocolli than Italian). Cook/steam the brocolli in a few tablespoons of water in a pot with a tight fitting lid instead of boiling. No more than 5 minutes in my opinion or it's overdone.
