| 1 | cup | bran | |
| 1 | cup | milk | |
| 1 | cup | bananas | mashed |
| 2 | large | eggs | |
| 1/2 | cup | brown sugar | |
| 1/3 | cup | vegetable oil | |
| 2 | cups | flour, all-purpose | |
| 1/2 | cup | apricots | dried snipped |
| 1/2 | cup | nuts | chopped |
| 1 | tablespoon | baking powder | |
| 1/2 | teaspoon | salt |
Combine bran and milk, let stand 5 minutes.
Stir in bananas, eggs, sugar and oil.
Combine remaining ingredients in large bowl.
Stir bran mixture into dry ingredients until just moistened.
Pour into prepared 9x5 inch loaf pan.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 60-65 minutes until cake tester comes out clean.
Cool in pan 10 minutes, cool on rack.

I made this delicious "down-home" recipe last night and it was popular! I didn't have the chicken broth & heavy cream on hand, but used Campbell's cream of chicken soup instead, made with milk; adding the parsley etc to that. This is a great way to use steak, (living on a cattle ranch I'm always looking for different ways to use beef) Thanks for the great recipe! Andrea
