Peeled radishes with red-vein streaks, stuffed with green olives and frozen into ice cubes, then dropped into tomato juice. The creepiest Halloween drink that’s actually edible!

8 hrsThese are so disgustingly realistic that grown adults will do a double-take. And they’re made from three ingredients.
Peeled radishes with thin streaks of red skin left on look exactly like bloodshot eyeballs. Scoop a little hole, stuff in a pimento-stuffed green olive, and suddenly you’ve got an iris staring right back at you.
Freeze them in ice cube trays overnight, then drop a pair into each glass of tomato juice. As the ice melts, the eyeballs slowly emerge from the red liquid. It’s gloriously horrifying.
Kitchen Tips
- Prep these the night before your Halloween party so they’re fully frozen and ready to go
- Leave irregular streaks of red radish skin for the most realistic blood-vessel effect
- Trim the radishes down if they don’t fit the ice cube tray sections
- For an adult version, use Bloody Mary mix instead of plain tomato juice

Directions
What you will need.
Vegetable peeler ice cube tray tall glasses 1.
Prepare these bloody eyeballs the day before you plan to serve them.
With an adult’s help, peel 12 radishes, leaving thin streaks of red skin on them for blood vessels.
Using the tip of the vegetable peeler or small knife, carefully scoop out a small hole in each radish.
Stuff a green olive, pimento side out, in each hole.
Place 1 radish in each section of an empty ice cube tray.
( You may need to pare your eyeballs down a bit to fit the ice cube tray.)
Fill the tray with water and freeze overnight.
Pour tall glasses ¾ full of tomato juice and add a pair of eyeballs to each glass.
