When you need to feed the whole neighborhood, this is the casserole you pull out. Six different beans, two pounds of ground beef, and a sweet-tangy sauce that ties the whole thing together.

Ketchup, condensed tomato soup, and brown sugar melt down into a sticky, smoky glaze that coats every bean. Onions and celery add crunch and freshness to balance all that richness.

It serves 25, freezes beautifully, and tastes even better reheated the next day. This is the dish that gets you asked to every block party for the rest of your life.

  • Drain only the green beans and wax beans. Leave the liquid in all the other cans for extra saucy flavor

Directions

Sauté hamburger, onions and celery in a little oil until brown and tender, drain off excess oil.

In large deep casserole combine all other ingredients.

Drain well the green and wax beans only, rest of beans - add beans and liquid to casserole.

Stir well to combine all ingredients and then put in oven at 350℉ (180℃) F for about 1 hour.

Can be frozen and used later.
