| 1 | teaspoon | peanut oil | |
| 1 | cup | carrots | chopped |
| 1 | cup | onions | chopped |
| 1 | cup | celery | chopped |
| 6 | ounces | chicken broth | |
| 1 | x | salt and black pepper | to taste |
| 1/2 | teaspoon | dry mustard | |
| 2 | tablespoons | worcestershire sauce | |
| 1/4 | teaspoon | red hot pepper sauce (eg. Tabasco) | |
| 1 | cup | cheddar cheese, very old, sharp | |
| 2 | tablespoons | flour, all-purpose | |
| 2 | each | sausage | or hot dogs |
| 12 | ounces | beer |
Saute carrots, onions, and celery in peanut oil.
Add chicken broth, cover and simmer for 1 hour.
Add spices.
Mix flour with cheese and add.
Stir until cheese melted and add sausages.
Add beer. Simmer.
Serve with homemade bread.
