| 5 | pounds | spareribs | |
| 2 | tablespoons | vinegar | |
| 1/2 | cup | ketchup | |
| 1/4 | teaspoon | salt | |
| 2 | tablespoons | brown sugar | |
| 1/2 | teaspoon | hickory smoke salt | or liquid smoke and salt |
| 1/2 | cup | steak sauce | |
| 1 | teaspoon | onion | minced |
Place spareribs on rack in baking pan. Brown in a 400 degree oven for 15 minutes; turn and brown on other side for 10 to 15 minutes. Drain fat and put ribs in crockpot. Combine remaining ingredients and pour over ribs. Cover and ccok on low 6 to 8 hours.
Makes 5 to 6 servings.
