Forget the fuss of traditional grilling when you want wings fast. This streamlined method uses your microwave to cook tender chicken wings in minutes, then finishes them with a glossy coating of homemade barbecue sauce.

The secret is tucking lemon slices between the wings while they steam in the microwave, infusing every bite with bright citrus notes that cut through the rich sauce.

Serve these at game day gatherings, weeknight dinners, or anytime you need finger food without the wait.

Pro Tips

  • For extra-crispy skin, broil the sauced wings for 2-3 minutes after microwaving
  • Double the sauce recipe and reserve half for dipping at the table
  • Swap limes for lemons to give the wings a zestier, more tropical flavor
