| 2 1/4 | cups | flour, all-purpose | |
| 2 | teaspoons | baking powder | |
| 1/4 | teaspoon | baking soda | |
| 1/2 | teaspoon | salt | |
| 2/3 | cup | vegetable shortening | softened |
| 1 | cup | sugar | |
| 2 | large | eggs | |
| 1 | teaspoon | vanilla extract | |
| 1 | package | chocolate chips (semi-sweet) | |
| 1 | cup | bananas | mashed |
Sift dry ingredients together.
Cream shortening and sugar.
Add eggs and vanilla, chocolate (melted), bananas and flour mixture.
Mix thoroughly.
Bake at 400 degrees F for 12-15 minutes on ungreased cookie sheets.

Excellent! When I was making the recipe though, I found that there didn't seem to be enough oats, so I doubled the measurement. It turned out great. JB
