Ingredients

1 1/2 cups flour, all-purpose
1/2 cup whole wheat flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup butter softened
2/3 cup sugar
2/3 cup brown sugar, light firmly packed
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 medium bananas mashed
1 each egg
12 ounces chocolate chips (semi-sweet) mini morsels
1 x powdered sugar

Directions

Preheat oven to 350'F. In small bowl, combine flours, baking powder and salt; set aside.

In large mixer bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract until creamy. Beat in bananas and egg. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in semi-sweet chocolate mini morsels.

Spread into greased 15 1/2x10 1/2" baking pan.

Bake 25-30 minutes. Cool completely. Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar.

Cut into 2x1" bars.

Makes about 6 1/2 dozen bars.

VARIATION: Omit whole wheat flour. Increase all-purpose flour to 2 cups.
