Golden sugar cookie dough gets pressed into a pan, layered with sections of milk chocolate bars and a thick blanket of marshmallow creme, then topped with more cookie dough and baked until everything melts together into a gooey, pull-apart slab of pure happiness.
Cut them into squares once they cool and try not to eat the whole pan standing at the counter.
Pro Tips
- Let the bars cool completely before cutting or you’ll end up with a glorious but messy chocolate-marshmallow avalanche.
- Press the bottom layer of dough firmly and evenly so it holds up under all that gooey filling.
- Drop the top layer of dough in small spoonfuls and spread gently. It doesn’t have to be perfect since it’ll even out as it bakes.
Ingredients
Directions
Preheat oven to 350’F. Grease an 8” square pan.
Combine cookie mix, contents of buttery flavor packet from Mix, egg and water in large bowl. Stir until thoroughly blended. Divide cookie dough in half. Press half the dough evenly into bottom of pan.
Cut each milk chocolate bar into 12 sections by following division marks on bars. Arrange chocolate sections into 4 rows, with 9 sections in each row.
Place spoonfuls of marshmallow creme on top of chocolate. Spread to cover chocolate and cookie dough. Drop remaining cookie dough by teaspoonfuls on top of marshmallow creme. Spread lightly with back of spoon. Bake at 350’F. for 25 to 30 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool completely. Cut into squares.
Makes 9 squares.
