This is the kind of recipe that makes you wonder why anyone fusses with complicated fish dishes.
Fresh cod fillets get a light sprinkle of seasoned salt, a generous squeeze of lemon, and pats of real butter before heading into the oven under a foil tent.
The result? Moist, buttery fish that practically melts on your fork.
Finished with a scattering of fresh parsley, this is honest home cooking at its finest.
Kitchen Tips
- Fresh or frozen works: Thawed cod is ideal, but if you’re using frozen fillets, add about 10 extra minutes of bake time and check for flakiness.
- Don’t skip the foil: Covering the dish traps steam and keeps the cod from drying out.
- Go easy on the salt: Seasoned salt packs more punch than regular salt, so start light and taste after baking.
