| 2 | pounds | hash brown potatoes | frozen, slightly thawed |
| 1/4 | cup | margarine | |
| 1/4 | cup | onion | chopped |
| 1/2 | teaspoon | salt | |
| 1/2 | teaspoon | black pepper | |
| 1 | pound | cheddar cheese | |
| 4 | ounces | green chili peppers | diced (1 can) |
| 8 | ounces | sour cream | |
| 10 | ounces | soup, cream of chicken | |
| 1 | x | nonstick cooking spray | |
| 1 | x | cornflake crumbs |
Mix all ingredients together (except cornflakes) and spoon into sprayed 13- by 9-inch dish. Top with cornflake crumbs.
Bake at 350 degrees 45 minutes. Makes 10 to 12 servings.
