1 hrsCardamom brings a subtle floral spice to these soft, cake-like bars loaded with snipped dried apricots.
Apricot nectar does double duty in both the batter and the glaze, creating layers of fruit flavor without being overly sweet.
The bars bake up tender from the addition of applesauce, which keeps them moist for days.
Kitchen Tips
- Snip the dried apricots into small pieces with kitchen scissors for even distribution
- Substitute ground cloves if you don’t have cardamom on hand
- Store bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days
