60 minThis apple schnapps cake is what you bake when you want something boozy and impressive without a lot of fuss.
Applesauce and apple schnapps get creamed with butter, then you beat in the dry ingredients and eggs for a full 4 minutes to create an incredibly fine crumb.
Raisins and chopped nuts stir in last for bursts of sweetness and crunch throughout.
Kitchen Tips
- Beat the batter for the full 4 minutes (2 minutes after dry ingredients, 2 more after eggs) for the tenderest texture
- Use real apple schnapps, not apple-flavored liqueur; the flavor is more concentrated
- Grease and flour the bundt pan thoroughly so the cake releases cleanly after baking
