| 1/2 | cup | vegetable oil | |
| 1 | cup | honey | |
| 2 | large | eggs | |
| 1/2 | cup | water | |
| 2 1/2 | cups | whole wheat flour | |
| 2 | teaspoons | baking powder | |
| 1/2 | teaspoon | sea salt | (optional) |
| 1 | teaspoon | allspice | |
| 1 | teaspoon | nutmeg | |
| 1 | teaspoon | cinnamon | |
| 2 | large | apples | grated (with peel) |
| 1 | teaspoon | vanilla extract | |
| 1/2-1 | cup | sunflower seeds | (or chopped nuts) |
Beat honey, oil, eggs and water. Mix dry ingredients and add to honey mixture. Fold in apples, vanilla and nuts. Fill oiled tins 2/3 full. Bake at 400 F. 12 to 15 minutes.
