Ingredients

1 x peanut oil
1 package wonton wrappers
2 medium apples cored, cut into small pieces
10 ounces cheddar cheese, very old, sharp shredded
Garnishes
1/2 cup brown sugar packed
2 teaspoons cinnamon

Directions

Mix the brown sugar and cinnamon together and set aside.

Preheat the peanut or vegetable oil in a deep fryer or other pan used for deep frying.

Wrap a piece of apple and a cube of cheddar cheese in a wonton skin and seal according to the directions on the package.

Deep fry until golden brown.

Coat with the brown sugar - cinnamon mixture and serve.

This is good served hot or cold.

Miniature Cheesecakes

Made these for a wedding shower I was having. They were a big hit!! I baked them in mini tart pans instead of the larger muffin pans and topped them with a teaspoon of canned cherry pie filling. I also made them in advance and froze them (before putting on the topping). They froze perfectly. Looked very pretty on the plate with the other squares and cookies. Everyone wanted the recipe!
