4cups apples peeled and grated*
1 1/2cups sugarVideo
2cups flour, all-purpose
1 1/2teaspoons baking sodaVideo
1teaspoon salt
2teaspoons cinnamonVideo
1/4teaspoon cloves powdered*
1/2teaspoon nutmeg
1/2teaspoon ginger *
2teaspoons vanilla extractVideo
2large eggsVideo beaten well
3/4cup vegetable oil
1/2cup walnuts coarsely

Mix grated apples with sugar and allow to sit for 1/2 hour.

Mix all dry ingredients together.

Set aside.

After apple and sugar mixture has sat for 1/2 hour, add eggs, oil and vanilla.

Mix well.

Add dry ingredients and then walnuts.

Pour mixture into a greased (I use non-stick spray) 13 x 9 inch pan, and bake for 50 minutes at 350 degrees.

Very moist. Spices came through beautifully with the apple.
