Ingredients

1 cup rolled oats
1 cup coconut
1 cup flour, all-purpose
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter
1 tablespoon corn syrup, dark
1 teaspoon baking soda
2 tablespoons water boiling

Directions

Combine dry ingredients in a bowl and make a well in the center.

Melt butter and syrup.

Add soda mixed with boiling water, then pour this mixture into dry ingredients.

Mix to a moist but firm consistency.

Drop by tablespoonfuls onto cold greased cookie sheet.

Bake at 250 degrees F about 20 minutes.

Baker's Holiday Trifle
