Ingredients

1 1/2 cups flour, all-purpose sifted
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup margarine
1/2 cup brown sugar firm pack
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 cup chocolate chips
2 tablespoons milk
3/4 cup powdered sugar sifted
Filling
3/4 cup chocolate chips
1 tablespoon vegetable shortening
1 tablespoon water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons corn syrup, light

Directions

Sift flour and salt.

Blend butter, sugar, vanilla. Add flour mixture, milk, 1/4 cup chopped chips.

Form in 1 inch balls. Make thumbprint in center.

Bake at 357 degrees for 10-12 minutes.

Roll in confectioners' sugar while warm.

Cool.

For filling, melt 3/4 cups chocolate chips and shortening in a double boiler.

Stir ingredients and stir until smooth. Let cool 5 minutes.

Fill cookies.

Busy Day Meatloaf

Maybe there is a more sophisticated and better tasting meatloaf recipe out there, but for our family, this is the best meatloaf we have ever had. We especially loved the easy sauce. I descreased the amount of soy sauce little bit. Talking about comforting food!
