| 2 | cups | granny smith apples | chopped |
| 1 1/2 | cup | almonds | sliced |
| 3/4 | cups | onions | chopped |
| 3/4 | cups | celery | chopped |
| 4 | tablespoons | butter | or margarine |
| 1 | teaspoon | cinnamon | |
| 1/2 | teaspoon | poultry seasoning | |
| 1/4 | teaspoon | salt | |
| 6 | cups | bread crumbs, whole wheat | |
| 1 | cup | raisins, seedless | |
| 1 | each | egg | beaten |
| 1/3 | cup | apple cider | up to 1/2 cup, or apple juice |
Saute apples, almonds, onion, and celery in butter for 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Remove from heat. Stir in cinnamon, poultry seasoning and salt. Toss together bread cubes and raisins; add apple mixture. Stir egg in 1/3 (or 1/2) c apple cider; toss into bread mixture. Add remaining apple cider if a moister stuffing is desired.
Use to stuff a 15 to 20 lb turkey, or two large roasting chickens. Spoon any remaining stuffing into a lightly greased 9x5 loaf pan. Bake, covered, during the last 30-40 minutes of roasting.

The other day I was at the office of a well known shipping company furious at their failure to locate my package. Finally my patience had reached its end and I stormed out empty handed. Angry and hungry, I made my way to a nearby ...
I found this to be rather bland so I used a can of stewed tomatoes Italian blend. Even with this addition it still needs some more seasoning. I will add mushrooms next time. With a little practice this could be a winner!
