A delicious holiday drink made with apple cider, orange juice and a bit of brandy.

Ingredients

1tablespoon allspice whole
1each cinnamon stickVideo about three inches*
3cups apple cider *
1cup orange juice
1/2each lemon sliced
1teaspoon honeyVideo
1/4cup brandy *

Directions

Tie allspice in a piece of cheesecloth.

Place in a medium saucepan along with cinnamon stick, cider, orange juice, lemon slices and honey.

Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, 5 minutes.

Remove spice bag.

Stir in brandy.

Serve with a cinnamon stick in each cup, if desired.

Excellent spiced cider! I did mine in the small crockpot on low for about 4 hours, so the flavors were really intense. For the brandy, I used apple brandy. Great on a really cold day!

This is the best. Use OJ without pulp for best effect. Had to refill and gone in a minute.
