| 4 | cups | stock | or water |
| 3/4 | teaspoon | salt | |
| 1 | tablespoon | cumin seeds | toasted |
| 1/2 | teaspoon | black pepper | |
| 1 | whole | lemon | juice of |
| 1 | x | cilantro | fresh chopped |
Put grated ginger and stock into a pot and bring to a boil. Simmer 30 minutes uncovered until the water has reduced by half. Add the salt, cumin and pepper. Simmer for another 2 minutes. Squeeze in lemon juice and garnish with coriander.
Excellent as a cold remedy and as a starter to an Indian meal.

General:Marjoram is the gray-green leaf of Majorana hortensis, a low growing member of the mint family. It is often mistaken for oregano, although they are not the same plant....
Awesome stuff!! I haven't had it with the lemon juice, but I'm sure it's just as good!!
