60 minDump a white or yellow cake mix, lemon Jello powder, eggs, oil, and a cup of bubbly 7-Up into your mixer and beat until smooth.
Pour into a greased tube pan and bake until the cake barely pulls away from the sides.
The soda creates extra lift and moisture, while lemon Jello gives bright citrus punch throughout.
Glaze it warm with lemon icing so the sweetness soaks right into that tender crumb.
Kitchen Tips
- Pour 7-Up slowly to keep the bubbles but avoid excessive foam on top
- Grease and flour the tube pan thoroughly to ensure clean release after baking
- Apply lemon glaze while cake is still warm for maximum absorption and shine
Ingredients
Directions
- Pour 7-Up into cup slowly to retain bubbles, but not have a lot of foam on top.
Put all ingredients into mixing bowl and beat two to three minutes at medium speed.
Pour batter into greased and floured tube pan. Bake at 350℉ (180℃) 45 to 60 minutes until cakes tests done and barely begins to pull away from sides of pan.
Glaze with lemon glaze while warm.
