Leftover Turkey Pot Pie

The Thanksgiving feast has been enjoyed and now it is time to figure out what to do with what remains of this delicious meal. There are more ways than just a boring turkey sandwich to clear out the refrigerator.

Try adding turkey to delicious recipes like Hearty Turkey Noodle Soup, Turkey and Tomato Panini or Turkey Lasagna. You could include turkey in a quesadilla, frittata, or large green salad.

Turkey Pot Pie is the perfect way to use your leftover turkey and those leftover vegetables. You could even add leftover green bean casseroleto the filling!

You can also divide the leftover turkey into individual serving sizes and freeze in a plastic storage back for future use.

Cheese Potato Chowder and Delicious Potato Doughnuts are excellent recipes to make use of leftover mashed potatoes.

Make a batch of Sweet Potato Pancakes or use leftover mashed sweet potatoes to top a Vegetarian Shepherd’s Pie.

Extra cranberry sauce makes the perfect base for a delicious breakfast of Cranberry Orange Muffins or Cranberry Coffee Cake.

If your pumpkin pie recipe left you with more filling than the crust could hold, make pumpkin pudding. Just add 2 tbsp of cornstarch to the leftover filling and cook over medium heat until the pudding bubbles and thickens, stirring constantly. Remove it from the heat and add 2 tablespoons of butter. Refrigerate the pudding or serve it immediately.

With a little bit of planning, your Thanksgiving leftovers can save you money and become the start of tasty meals to enjoy throughout the coming week and beyond.
