This past Thanksgiving, I went to the annual holiday dinner my whole family attends. Everything seemed to be the same, aunt and uncles were sharing stories, my younger cousins we’re running around and Grandma was taking pictures of everyone.

But something was different, a lot different. I didn’t realize what had changed until I saw what was on the menu for dinner. Aside from turkey, we we’re going to have duck and fish. Fish?
The idea of having fish on Thanksgiving shocked me. I knew most of the family loved fish, but did their temptation have to take over our Thanksgiving dinner?
True enough, Grandma ended up making a couple baskets of fried fish for everyone to enjoy. Even though I adored turkey, I had to try the new guests who invited themselves. The result? Let’s just say I was reaching for more servings of duck and fish.

If your family is getting tired of the same old Thanksgiving dinner, then try the following meat dishes that are sure to be a crowd pleaser.

Wonderbread is wonderful! We dug out the Breadman Ultimate after a long hiatus from baking and tried this recipe since my wife enjoys a plain white bread now and then. But this bread has a wonderful golden glow and a fine texture. Perfect for toast and sandwitches. A keeper!
